Obituary

Diane Kay Tazar, 80, of Belmont, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, in Liza’s Place, Wheeling, West Virginia.

She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, on February 16, 1946, a daughter of the late August and Annabelle Childers Arcishewsky.

Diane was a retired X-Ray Technician from East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry and the St. Clairsville Clinic. She was a Christian by faith and enjoyed keeping her mind sharp with word games and puzzles. She loved being a special grandma to her grandkids. She leaves behind many special friends, Judy Henthorn, Elaine Jewell, Janet Murphy, Cheryl Gwynn and Judy Carter. She lived her life by putting others first with her family, her medical career and her friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bryan Arcishewsky and a sister, Carol Steele.

Diane is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dennis Jay Tazar; two children, Jason Bradley (Anne) Tazar and Courtney Shae (Drew) Holcombe; two grandchildren, Alana Holcombe and Matthew Holcombe; her brother-in-law, Bob Steele and her sister-in-law, Marla Hinzey who she considered to be her sister.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 3 p.m. until time of service at 6:15 p.m., with Rev. David Demarest officiating. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Holly Memorial Gardens.
