McKelvey, Diamond Silver "Bill", 81, of Belmont, Ohio died Thursday, November 22, 2007 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born in Clarington on November 3, 1926, a son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Reef McKelvey.
Diamond was a retired employee of the Centre Foundry and Machine Company in Wheeling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Harold and Jim; and his sisters, Betty, Elda, Dorothy, Wanda and Elsie.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Edith Moore McKelvey; his children, William (Cathy) McKelvey of Jacobsburg, Joanna (Larry) Palmer of Jacobsburg, Delores (Mark) Lucas of Alledonia, Dawn (Dennis) Palmer of Belmont, Suzanna McKelvey of Powhatan Point and John McKelvey of Belmont; a sister, Martha Kerns of Clarington; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Theresa Bobot officiating. Burial will follow in Jacobsburg Cemetery.
