Desmond Anthony Lekanudos, 76, of Wheeling, died February 9, 2023, at the Continuous Care Center.

He was born July 15, 1946, in Wheeling, a son of the late George Lekanudos and Dulcie Joyce Doyle Laney.

Desmond was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He was a 1964 graduate of Wheeling High School and enjoyed golfing and billiards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Juniper and a sister, Brenda Sturgeon.

Desmond is survived by his two children, Desi G. (Amanda) Lekanudos and Niki Lynn (Alan) Conlan; three grandchildren, Joshua (Melanie), Noel and Alaina Conlan; two great grandchildren, Kaidence and Evan Conlan; and a sister, Lorie Reimel.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7 p.m., with Rev. Jim Monogioudis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Parkinson Disease Association.
