Delores Jean Spano, 77, of Flushing, Ohio died on Wednesday May 14, 2014 at Wexner Heritage Village Zusman Hospice in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born on May 15, 1936 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late Antonio Leone and Perrie Dale Leone.
Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and an outstanding homemaker.
Preceding her in death are a son, Randall Spano; a grandson, A.J. Chance; 3 sisters, Dorothy Dodds, Lillian Williams, and Betty Jane Bartnicki.
Surviving are her husband, Francis Spano; 8 children: son, Thomas (Lisa) Spano of Flushing, Ohio; daughters, Debra (Joe) Chance of Flushing, Ohio, Pamela (Henry) Longevitch of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Nancy (Ed) Stenger of Belmont, Ohio, Robin (Don) Buonamici of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Lisa (David) Heedy of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Jacqueline (Jack) Matusek of Cadiz, Ohio, and Hope (Gary) Kurtz of Dillonvale, Ohio. She has 18 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Carmen Moore of Minerva, Ohio and Mary Ann Bethel of Phoenix, Arizona; 3 brothers, Danny, Harold, and Robert Leone of Massillon, Ohio.
At her request, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be buried at Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing, Ohio. Officiating the ceremony will be Reverend David Powell.
