Delmo Nelson Weekley, 73 of Jacobsburg, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 15, 2009.
He was born May 30, 1935 in Jacobsburg, a son of the late Mary Wilda Weekley.
Delmo was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and thru all his struggles he refused to give up. He was a retired employee of Ohio Ferro Alloy?s Powhatan Plant, a member of the Jacobsburg Bible Church, and a US Army veteran.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, Jerry, and Jack Weekley.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Stanek Weekley; a daughter, Joyce (Dennis) Helms of St. Clairsville; a son, Jim Weekley of Jacobsburg; 2 grandchildren, Jarret and Jamilyn Helms; sister, Janice (Estill) Sizemore of New Vienna, Ohio; brother, James (Joyce) Weekley of Bellaire.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will be held again on Saturday from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. at the Jacobsburg Bible Church with Rev. Richard Mehl officiating. Burial follows in Jacobsburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jacobsburg Bible Church or the American Heart Association.
