Obituary
Saffell, Delbert Eugene Sr., 72, of Dilles Bottom, died Tuesday at home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1935 at Pipe Creek, son of the late Delbert Perry and Lula Ambler Saffell.
Delbert was a retired coal miner from Oglebay Norton and Y & O Coal Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Call Saffell; and a son, Delbert Eugene Saffell Jr.
Surviving are his children, Sheila Marlene Hickman, William E. Saffell, Randy L. Saffell, Connie I. Simmons, Teresa Maffe and Lisa Sapp; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m., with Rev. Ray Benesh officiating. Burial follows at Armstrong Cemetery.
