Delbert L. Higgins, 92 of Key, Ohio died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born at Bellaire, Ohio on January 2, 1915 a son of the late Lawrence Alvas Higgins and Emma May Schramm Higgins.
Delbert was a retired glass blower for Imperial Glass at Bellaire with 47 years of service. He was a member of the Church Alive at Key Ridge, the Belmont-Jefferson Beagle Club, American Legion Post # 632 at Glencoe, Ohio and a 6 year veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Lee Robson Higgins and a brother, Alvas Glen Higgins.
He is survived by his children, Brenda Lee Palmateer of Petoskey, Michigan; Nan Stull of Sugar Grove, Ohio; Jenna Sue Stolz of Bellaire, Ohio and Mike Higgins of Key, Ohio; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg, Ohio on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Lewis and Rev. Douglas Stull officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Key Ridge.
