Delbert R. "Zip" Bumgardner, 72, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at his home.

He was born May 8, 1943 in Jacobsburg, Ohio, a son of the late Delbert R. Bumgardner and Edna Underwood Bumgardner.

He was a retired coal miner from Y&O Allison Mine and truck driver for Lash Paving.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death an infant daughter, Crystal Bumgardner; a brother, John Wayne Hines; a grandson, Ronald Lee Bumgardner

Surviving are his wife, Darlene Paskel Bumgardner; two sons, Delbert R. (Theresa) Bumgardner of St. Clairsville, and Ronald L. (Mindy) Bumgardner of St. Clairsville; sisters, Sally Erlinwein of Columbus, OH, Edna Collins of South Carolina, Blanche Workman of Jacobsburg, Linda Palmer of Warnock, Wanda Farrell of Michigan, and Doris Jean McGarry of Glencoe; brothers, Ronald Bumgardner of St. Clairsville, and Robert Hines of Warnock; six grandchildren, Ashley (Keith) Blake, Raymond, Tiffany, Autumn, Cody, and Libby Bumgardner; a great granddaughter, Aubrey Kyer.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Tuesday at 4 p.m. with Medi Home Hospice Chaplain Herb Alexander officiating.

Inurnment in Warnock Cemetery, Warnock, Ohio.
