Deborah Kay Strain, 58, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died October 15, 2018 at her home.
Debbie was born June 20, 1960 in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Barbara Ann (Kopral) Strain and Robert S. Strain Jr.
She was a 1978 graduate of Saint Clairsville High School and attended Ohio University. Debbie worked as a manager for several stores including Chess King, Wilsons Leather, Christopher & Banks and Fashion Bug at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville and the Washington Crown Center in Washington, Pennsylvania. She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Barton.
Debbie made friends with everyone she met… she knew no strangers. She was a bigtime football fan and rooted for the Buckeyes and her Arizona Cardinals. She became a fan of the Cardinals out of respect for Pat Tillman and later Larry Fitzgerald and Kurt Warner. Debbie will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She leaves behind her parents, Robert and Barbara Strain; a brother, Robert "Mick" (Janie) Strain; a sister, Nancy Zielinski; and nieces, Devyn Strain and Madelyn Strain who was Debbie's Goddaughter, Brittani and Zoie Zielinski and great-niece Kennedy Prentice.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Parastas Services at 6 p.m. Also, a Panachida Service will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 9 a.m.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Barton with the Very Reverend Michael Kabel officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Barton.
