Dean D. Ramsey Jr., 68, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died Monday, September 28, 2015 at Cumberland Pointe Care Center.
He was born on November 3, 1946 in New Martinsville, WV, a son of the late Dean D. Ramsey Sr. and Doris Jean Long Ramsey.
Dean was a retired heavy equipment operator and a U.S. Navy Veteran serving as an Aviation Ordnanceman during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dean D. Ramsey III; two brothers, Robert and Randy Ramsey; and a sister, Dorothy DeGenova.
Surviving are his daughter, Patricia Jean "P.J."; a brother, Darrell (Marilyn) Ramsey of Jacobsburg; a sister, Kathy Skaggs of Belmont; several grandchildren and a great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
At Dean's request there will be no visitation and private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 52171 National Road East, Suite 1, St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
