David William "Dave" Waller, 82, of The Villages, Florida, died March 4, 2022, at the UF Health Hospital in Leesburg, Florida.

He was born November 19, 1939, in Jewett, Ohio, a son of the late Francis William Waller and Pauline Rutledge Waller.

Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel in 2000 as CFO of Wheeling Corrugating Division and was a former realtor with Sayre Real Estate, and a former loan originating manager for Buckeye Mortgage Company and co-owner of GEI LLC. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1957-1965.

Dave was generous, a giving man of God who spent many hours volunteering, serving, and praying for others.  He joyfully delivered meals and brightened the day of many through Operation Homebound in The Villages.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Waller and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Waller.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Thompson Waller; three children, Jeffrey (Laurie) Waller of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, Denise (Chris) Foley of Blacklick, Ohio, and Justin Waller of Washington, DC; and five grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at Harbor of Hope Assembly of God Church -67667 Warnock Rd, Saint Clairsville, Ohio on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m.  Brother Dan Ponzani will officiate the celebration of Dave's life. Lunch reception to immediately follow service at the church. Burial will be held in Bethel Cemetery, Jewett, Ohio. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.
