David William Trigg, 87, of Bellaire, Ohio died June 4, 2022, at Cumberland Pointe Care Center in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

He was born January 1, 1935, in Bellaire, Ohio, the son of the late John William Trigg and Virginia Mae Phillips Kirkland.

David was a former employee at Imperial Clevite, a miner at North American Coal Company, and part-time maintenance at Union Local Schools. He was a Protestant by faith. David served in the US Air Force and was a member of American Legion Post #52 and Disabled American Veterans #117 in Bellaire, Ohio. He enjoyed Elvis Presley music and was an avid fan of Bellaire Big Reds and Ohio State football.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Veverka Trigg.

Surviving are his children, Jay (Brenda) Trigg of St. Clairsville, OH, Michelle (Terry) Davidson of St. Clairsville, OH, Michelle (Rick) Pratt of Powhatan Point, OH and Sheri (Rob) Fillon of St. Clairsville, OH; sister, Wilda (Roy) Cain of Gautier, MS; grandchildren, Logan (Molly) Davidson, Justin Trigg, Kristin (Ryan) Snider and Mike (Allison) Pratt; great-grandchildren, Wiley Pratt, Wrya Pratt, Wesley Pratt, Collin Snider, Dylan Snider and Ella Snider; and a nephew, Roy Cain, Jr. of Gautier, MS.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, OH on Thursday at Noon until time of service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Leo Gonot officiating. Burial will follow at Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, OH with full military honors conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
