Ben David Ringer, 67, of Wheeling, WV, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, died Monday, August 3, 2015 at home.

He was born on March 26, 1948 at Martins Ferry, Ohio son of the late Charles E. Ringer and Evalyn L. Harrold Ringer.

David was a former employee of Wheeling Brake Block Manufacturing Company, the Times Leader and Wheeling News Register. He was a kind and generous person.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick A. Ringer; a sister, Doris Jeannie Ringer; and a niece.
Surviving are a brother, Michael Ringer; nieces, nephews; and friend, Rev. Bruce Higgins.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 11 am until time of services at 12 p.m., with Rev. Bruce A. Higgins officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville, Ohio.
