GRANT, David M. "Butch", 68, of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Thursday, December 12, 2013 in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born on December 15, 1944 at the old Fraley Farm on Chestnut Level, son of the late Robert and Nada Fraley Grant.
Butch was a retired coal miner and foreman with North American Coal # 6 mine. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and carpenter.
David is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara Miles Grant; his children, David (Pat) Grant of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, Cher (Jack) McKeever of Shadyside, Ohio and Adam (Tricia) Grant of Grove City, Ohio; six grandchildren, Morgan, Taylor, Alexandra, Angelina, Chase and Amanda; a brother, Don (Dee) Grant of Bethesda, Ohio; a sister, Sandy Castello of Speidel, Ohio; sister-in-law, Pat (David) Johnston of Gaffney, South Carolina; beloved aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of Services at 5 p.m. with Major Ed Long officiating. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
