David Santford Cross, 74 of Bellaire, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 while surrounded by his family.

He was born January 16, 1944 at his home in Stewartsville, Ohio, the son of the late Jesse Erwin Cross and Thelma Vera Whitman Cross.

He was a Christian by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers.

Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years, Martha Dunn Cross; three daughters, Rebecca Cross, Angela (David) Hostetler, and Melinda Cross; eight grandchildren, Derek Cross, Nicole Presher, Jonathan, Danielle, Stephen, and Leandra Hostetler, Ashley and Tyler Speece; two great grandsons, Jason and David Smith; six sisters, Lucy Beals, Vera Kuhn, Ann Schmidt, Rose Wright, Sandy Cross, and Connie Spencer; a brother, Jamie Cross.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m.

Belmont County Veterans Association will provide full military honors on Thursday at 5:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
