David Lee Coe, 69, of Belmont, Ohio, died August 15, 2016 at his home.
He was born in St. Clairsville, Ohio on February 20, 1947, son of the late Joseph Wilson Coe and Dorothy Mae Hoots Coe.
Dave was a disabled U.S. Veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and a former coal miner with Y. & O. Coal's Allison Mine. He was a Life Member of the VFW Post 5356 in St. Clairsville; the DAV in Bellaire and the Glencoe American Legion Post 632. Dave was a member and past master of Shadyside Lodge # 724 F. & A.M.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Roseann Secrest and a brother, Robert "Bob" Coe.
Dave is survived by three sons, David Lee Coe II of Flushing, Earl Bryon Coe of Belmont and Justin James Coe of Brilliant; a sister, Shirley (Ed) Heath of Warnock; and nine grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m., with Scott Black officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.
Masonic Services will be held on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association in the cemetery.
