David A. Campbell, 69, of St. Clairsville, OH, went to be in the arms of our Lord on February 23, 2018 in Wheeling Hospital.

Born in Glen Dale, WV on January 30, 1949, at Reynolds Hospital to Rose Marie Godfrey Campbell and late Phillip Campbell, David was an incredible father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He took joy in singing along to his favorite music (namely Elvis Presley), fishing with family, and making others laugh with his witty sense of humor that will forever remain in the hearts of all he touched.

David was a retired supervisor from AEP's Kammer Plant and attended Harbor of Hope Church in St. Clairsville. He is a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his most beloved wife, Kathy Lynn Salyers Campbell.

Surviving are his two children, Kelly (Troy) Gatti of Bethesda and Chad (Tracey) Campbell of St. Clairsville; his five grandchildren, Alisha Thomas, Jakob Frazier, Clayton Campbell, Ireland Campbell and Kaylynn Campbell; a brother, James (Terry) Campbell of Hopewell, VA; a sister, Sandy Wallace and her companion Julie Anderson of Moundsville, WV; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and the sweetest-lamb-of-a-dog, Fleecy Mae.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 26, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Harbor of Hope Church, 67667 Warnock Rd., St. Clairsville, OH, where services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dean Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove where Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.

David lives on in the hearts of many and will be missed beyond measure by all of his family and friends.
