David William Brocklehurst, 97, of Warnock, Ohio died Thursday February 23, 2023, at Emerald Pointe Nursing Home in Barnesville, Ohio.

He was born on March 9, 1925, in Warnock, Ohio, a son of the late Arthur Brocklehurst and Fanny Turton Brocklehurst.

David was a buyer and filled prescriptions for 26 years at Jeffries Drugs. He was a member of the Warnock Community Church, where he was the Clerk of Session for over 30 years. David was a 75-year member of the Weyer Lodge #541 F. & A.M. in Centerville.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, John "Jack" Brocklehurst and Frederick Brocklehurst; five sisters, Winfred Fader, Dorothy Parish, Lillian Duvall, Phyllis Weaver, and Rosalie Utter.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Wednesday March 1, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Diane Jefchak officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.

A Masonic funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
