Dante "Daniel Vincent" "Dan V." Barr, 87 of Glencoe, Ohio died Wednesday August 2, 2006 at Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire.

He was born June 9, 1919 in Glencoe, a son of the late Vincent Barr and Filomena Archangeli Barr.

He was a retired coal miner, a Catholic, and member of the Masonic Lodge and Shrine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Mazzie; and two infant sisters.

Surviving are his wife, Rossie Grant Vaughn Barr; two daughters, Marcia Garcia of Powhatan Point, and Anna Marie Barr of Bellaire; three step-sons, Thomas, Paul, and Kenith Vaughn of Shadyside; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 13 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from noon until time of service at 2 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg with Father Gary Zalenski officiating. Burial follows in Glencoe Cemetery.
