Daniel Lee Williams, 70 of Flushing, Ohio died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born, September 13, 1947 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Charles Henry Williams and Gladys Viola Gilham Williams.
He was a former night watchman for Kovacs Trucking, Belmont County Sheriff Deputy, and Flushing Police Officer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, member of First Christian Church in Flushing, and former member of the Flushing Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelly Sue Williams, and a brother, Kenneth Williams.
Surviving are a son, Daniel (Michele) Williams of Flushing; two grandchildren, Shannon and Danny Williams of Flushing; a brother, Dennis Williams of Flushing; a sister, Frances (Richard) Shinn of San Lorenzo, CA; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Robert Merritt officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, Morristown.
Belmont County Veterans Association will provide military honors on Thursday at 12:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
