IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel Cheatham
Sr.
July 16, 1950 – October 7, 2023
Rev. Daniel H. Cheatham Sr., 73, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV with his family by his side.
Dan walked in honor, he loved his family, he loved people, and he loved the Lord. Dan's true passion in life was riding his Harleys and being in the wind with his Stefi.
A man of strong conviction, he did not sway, nor did he falter. While he didn't always know how to show it, his family was his everything. Dan gave 100% in everything he did, from filling his house with car and motorcycle parts, to being the "Best Auto Bodyman in the Ohio Valley".
Preacher Dan was married to Stefanie Cheatham in September of 2018. The love of his life for over 20 years, they rode and laughed in the sunshine. Every now and again he would bring her flowers, "just because".
He is also survived by four children, Betty Jo (Edwin) Perkins of New Church, VA, Daniel H. (Erin) Cheatham, Jr. of Belmont, OH, Matthew Cheatham of Green Lane, PA, and Adrienne (Jay) York of Albrightsville, PA; thirteen grandchildren, Adam, Alex, Anne Marie, John Turner, James, Caroline, Daniel III, Kaitlyn, Zayne, Andrew, Alleigh, Nathaniel, and Zachary; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Pat of Charlottesville, VA and Kathy of Leesburg, FL. Though Dan did not have any blood brothers, Steve "Virus" Trainum and Jack were the next best thing. He also had many nieces and nephews which he loved dearly.
He was greeted in Heaven by his parents, C. Herbert Cheatham and Marie Scott Barrow; his granddaughter, Anne Marie; his "brother", Jack; and a brother-in-law, Randall.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m., with Donnie Klink officiating.
Dan's Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday at Hidden Hills Event Center in Bellaire from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clarksburg Calvary Church, 51630 Glencoe Stewartsville Rd., Jacobsburg, OH 43933, where Dan had attended for nearly 40 years.
