Dale Elwood Moore, 86, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died April 10, 2021 in Belmont Manor Nursing Home.

He was born April 27, 1935 in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late Charles Benton Moore and Cora Elizabeth Rine Moore.

Dale was a retired coal miner from Consolidation Coal Company's Quarto # 4 Mine. He was a member of East Richland Evangelical Friends Church. Dale was a member of the AARP and former member of the Eagles. He enjoyed working on cars and playing cards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Saffol.

Dale is survived by his wife, Barbara E. Collins Moore; his three children, Darla Sheets, Curtis Moore and Christina Suter; a sister, Hilda (Jim) Hupka; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; special friends, Jess Ostrander and Tom Salem; several nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, social distancing and facial coverings are required during visitation on Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Jerry Wenger officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East Richland Friends Church.
