Dale W. "Foxy" Palmer, Sr., 72 of Gamble-Hughes Rd., Jacobsburg died Wednesday November 24, 2004 at the Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire.
He was born February 29, 1932 in Powhatan Point, a son of the late Leroy "Carb" Palmer and Mildred Virginia Freeholder Palmer.
Foxy was a retired steelworker from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel at Martins Ferry and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Rose Marie Myers and Darla Palmer; two sisters, Martha Brumback and Irene Palmer; four brothers, Dennis, Virgil, Avery Raymond and Terrence Leroy Palmer.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Brown Palmer; three sons, Dave Palmer of Elyria, Ohio, Dale Palmer of Jacobsburg, and Denny Palmer of Belmont; one brother, James Palmer of Pipe Creek; one sister, Virginia Stokes of Pipe Creek; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Friends will be received on Saturday, November 27, 2004, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg with Rev. Michelle Lucarelli officiating. Burial follows in Powhatan Cemetery.
