Gallagher, Crystal Mae, 91, of St. Clairsville, died Monday, April 20, 2009 at Cumberland Pointe Nursing Home.
She was born in Batesville, Ohio on October 10, 1917, daughter of the late William Vachel Flood and Lelia Maude Clucus Flood.
Crystal was a homemaker and a member of the St. Paul?s Catholic Church in Flushing. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed many years of quilting and bowling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gallagher; a daughter-in-law, Amelia Gallagher; and four brothers, infant Miles, Bill, Mansel and Roy Flood.
She is survived by her children, Paul J. Gallagher of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Helen Niemiec of Bethesda, Ohio, and Constance Reed and her husband Kenneth of St. Clairsville, Ohio; special friends, Henry and Grace Niemiec; a sister Mary Flood of Caldwell, Ohio; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a vigil service held at 8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul?s Church in Flushing, with Father Frederick Kihm the celebrant. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
