Clyde William Bell, 81, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at his home. He was born March 27, 1943, in Aiken, South Carolina, a son of the late Olive Bell.
Clyde was a retired machinist from Mull Machine. He was a member of IAM Local 818 Wheeling, West Virginia. He enjoyed watching TV, bowling, NASCAR, fishing, coaching his children in youth sports, and later going to watch his grandchildren play sports. He loved traveling to South Carolina to visit his oldest and best friend Burma. He was always rooting for his three favorite teams, The Las Vegas Raiders, Atlanta Braves and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Anna Mae Welling, father-in-law, Oscar Boyd Welling and one sister.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Welling Bell; children, Kimberly Ann (Joe) Siciliano, Dawn Renea Bumgardner and William B. (Rhonda) Bell; five grandchildren, Michael (Paige) Bell, Alyssa S. Bell, Joshua Paul (Kylee) Bumgardner, Addison Reese Newell and Aidan Ross Newell; Aunt Mary "Midge" Tennant; and his oldest and best friend, Burma Eubanks.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at noon at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg with Chaplain Kris Bright officiating. Entombment will follow at Parkview Memorial Park, Wheeling, West Virginia.
