Clayton Hampp
Clayton Hampp died Sunday March 14, 2010. He was born December 3, 1949 in Circleville, Ohio to Frank Meeker Hampp and Georgia Baker Hampp. Clayton had seven siblings, Reba, Patricia, Annabelle, Frank, Charles, Doris, and Thelma.
Clayton lived in Columbus for many years and moved to the Belmont Habilitation Center in St. Clairsville in 1984. He moved to Donnerville Group Home in 2006 and then to Pineview 1b Group Home in 2007 where he resided until his death. He attended Belco Works Workshop and Tomorrow?s Corner Day Program, both in St. Clairsville.
Prior to health changes, Clayton greatly enjoyed being outside. He was most content when he could be outside walking and enjoying the weather. He also enjoyed going for long rides in the community, just to see the sights and visiting parks. Clayton also liked soaking in the bathtub as a way to relax. He loved candy and appreciated his favorite friends who always had some for him, and most of all, Clayton enjoyed his alone time.
He will be sadly missed by his many friends and housemates.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 11:45 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Wenger officiating.
Burial follows in Forest Cemetery, Circleville, Ohio.
