Obituary

Clara Roselie Helms, 93, of St. Clairsville, formerly of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Park Health Center.

She was born in Bellaire, Ohio on June 8, 1933, daughter of the late Roland and Clara Eikleberry Davis.

Clara was a retired employee of the former Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire. She was a member of the Saint Joe Road Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Helms; two brothers, Wilbur Davis and Roland Davis Jr.; and four sisters, Mary Riffle, Dorothy Stubblefield, Marge Whitley, and Eva Baker;

Clara is survived by her four children, Diana (James) Wells, Denise (John) Wright, Sharon (Rick) Ackerman and Dennis (Joyce) Helms; five grandchildren, Kellee (Adam) Blon, Suzann (Chris) Marling, Lee Ackerman, Jarret Helms and Jamilyn Helms; 4 great-grandchildren, Emmi, Eli, Cade, Ethan, and Allie; two brothers, Harold Davis and Charles Davis, and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would also like to express their gratitude to the caring staff of Park Health Center for their love and support during their time with Clara.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Monday, June 29th, 2026 at 10 a.m., with Pastor Paul Marty officiating. The burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
