Obituary

Cindy Lou Jones, 56, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died at home Tuesday morning, June 21, 2005, after a 15-year battle with metastatic breast cancer.

She was born August 22, 1948 in Wheeling, West Virginia, the first child and daughter of Nora K. and the late Louis "Bud" Chisnell.

Cindy was a wife, mother, homemaker, and devoted over three decades to the nurturing, care, and education of children. Her early career was as a math and science teacher for the St. Clairsville-Richland public school system, but the majority of her professional employment was serving Belmont Technical College as the Director of Child Care Services. Cindy was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church, an alumna of Ohio University, an avid reader, a card stamping and scrap booking enthusiast, an internet/online "prayer warrior", and a great lover of both animals and the Arts.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Louis and by her youngest brother, Jeffrey L. Chisnell, both former residents of New Athens, Ohio.

Surviving are her husband, Larry D. Jones; her daughter and son-in-law, Lawenda "Wendy" and Steven "Sid" Tucker of Akron, Ohio; her son, Lance D. Jones of Bowling Green, Ohio; her mother, Nora K. Chisnell of St. Clairsville, Ohio formerly of New Athens, Ohio; her brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Laurie Chisnell of Cadiz, Ohio; and a large, loving circle of in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Thoburn United Methodist Church, 209 E. Main Street, St. Clairsville on Thursday, June 23, at 7:00 PM with Rev. Kim Anderson officiating. Those wishing to attend the memorial service are asked to contribute, at their discretion, a favorite photograph, memento, or written memory for inclusion in a memorial scrapbook the family is assembling.
