Christie Lynn Saus Drake, 45, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends on May 23, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 22, 1975 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of Rudolph "Buck" and Debbie MacAlister Saus. She was married to the love of her life, Michael Drake of St. Clairsville, a loving mother to her two sons, Geno Michael and Zachary Scott, and a wonderful grandmother to Aurora May.

Christie is survived by her parents, her loving husband, and sons, along with a brother, James (Rachel) Saus of Bridgeport, Ohio, her father and mother in-law, Joe and Joyce Drake of St. Clairsville, nieces, nephew, family, and friends.

Christie was a devout Christian, dedicated wife, and mother. She was a Registered Nurse for over 20 years which suited her unselfish servant heart. She enjoyed crafting, the outdoors, and the beach.

A woman of faith and the heart of her family, Christie enjoyed life to the fullest. It was her strong will to live, her unwavering faith in God and the unconditional love of family and friends that carried her throughout her battle with cancer. Her love of life was made of deep devotion, courage, bravery, and endless unselfishness. What she leaves behind is not what will be engraved on a granite monument but what is forever woven into the lives of everyone she touched.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Eller officiating.  Burial will follow in Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Lafferty.
