Mick, Chester J., Sr., 82 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Friday, July 18, 2008 at his home.

He was born at St. Clairsville on June 14, 1926 a son of the late Alex Mick, Sr. and Mary Milarcik Mick.

Chester was a retired employee of the former Blaw-Knox in Wheeling, a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church at Fairpoint, Fairpoint Polish Club, Maynard Sportsman?s Club, Maynard PNA Lodge, American Legion Post 666 at Maynard and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Walter, John and Stanley Mick and a sister Helen Mick Webnar.

He is survived by his wife Lydia Pelka Mick; his children Karen (Charles) Craig of Belmont, Chester (Lisa) Mick, Jr. of St. Clairsville and Becky (Jack) Cera of Bellaire; grandchildren Jaclyn Cera, Bethany Cera, Christopher Craig, Taylor Mick and Brige?e Mick and a brother Alex Mick, Jr. of St. Clairsville.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a vigil service at 3 p.m. and Belmont County Council of American Legion Military Honors at 7 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph?s Church, Fairpoint. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
