Charlotte Joyce Pickering, age 72, of Flushing, Ohio, died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born May 31, 1933 in Uniontown, Ohio, daughter of the late Horace Thrash and Isabelle Porter Thrash.

Charlotte was a retired nurse from Wheeling Hospital. She was a member of the Flushing Christian Church and the Madison, Indiana Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Edna Bednarik and infant sister, Jeanette Thrash; and brothers, Johnny, Donald, Gene and Arnold Thrash and infant brother, Arthur Thrash.

Surviving are her husband, Doyle C. Pickering; her daughters, Cindy (Gregg) Chamberlain of Moundsville, Cathy (Richard) Kidd of St. Clairsville and Becky Pickering of Wheeling; a brother, Gary Thrash of Pikeville, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Jay (Amy) Grimes of Flushing, Amy (Kevin) McNamara of Tucson, Arizona, Erin Kidd of St. Clairsville and Chris (Scott) Bonnett of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and a great grandson, Zac Grimes.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Evangelist Earl Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Flushing.
