Zollars, Charles Atwell, 78 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at his home.

He was born October 4, 1930 in Poland, Ohio, a son of the late John Roscoe Zollars and Frances Atwell Zollars.

He was a State Farm agent of 31 years, retiring December 31, 1995, a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church and Thoburn United Methodist Men in St. Clairsville, the Saints Club, St. Clairsville Lions Club, Belmont Lodge #16 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Past President of the St. Clairsville Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Zollars; a sister, Lois Wilson.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Delora "Billie" Jean Smith Zollars, whom he wed November 16, 1958; two sons, Charles Patrick (Cheryl) Zollars of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Jay Robert (Ashley) Zollars of Worthington, Ohio; a daughter, Leslie Kay (Bruce) Stiles of Bethesda, Ohio; grandchildren, Zak and Carlee Stiles, Timothy Dean, Allyson, and Sam Zollars, and Hudson Zollars; a sister, Eileen White of Carrollton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home St. Clairsville on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Bradley Call officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Saints Club, P.O. Box 202, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950 or the St. Clairsville Lions Club, c/o William Hendershot, 170 Newell Ave., St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.

Belmont Lodge #16 F&AM will conduct services at 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
