Obituary

Charles O. "Onnie" Workman, Sr., 72 of Belmont, Ohio died Monday, August 2, 2004 at his home.

He was born at Shadyside, Ohio, January 29, 1932 a son of the late George and Hilda Schafer Workman.

Onnie was a former employee at the Belmont County Children?s Home at Tacoma, a retired employee of the former Y & O Coal Allison Mine at Beallsville and was a member of Weyer Lodge #541 F.& A.M. at Centerville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Floyd and a sister Ruthann.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Delores Mellott Workman; one son, Charles (Sandy) Workman, Jr. of Barnesville; two daughters, Susan (Chuck) Kennedy of Prosperity, Penna. and Pamela Cramer of Bellaire; three sisters, Dorothy Flowers of Dothan, Ala.; Martha Lee Heath of Centerville and JoEtta Angel of Obetz, Ohio; two brothers, Cecil Workman and Richard Workman both of Jacobsburg; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg where services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Masonic services will be held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
