Charles E. "Charlie" Winzenreid, 80 of Key-Bellaire Rd., Bellaire died Monday, March 29, 2004 at Belmont Community Hospital, Bellaire.
He was born at Bridgeport July 24, 1923 a son of the late William Ernest and Sophia Louise Schemrich Winzenreid.
Charlie was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a retired farmer, school bus driver for the Bellaire Schools, and truck driver for the former International Harvester at Shadyside and Tire America. He was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church at Bridgeport and attended the Belmont United Presbyterian Church at Key Ridge, a life long member of the Belmont County Agricultural Society, a member of the Ohio Valley Cattlemen?s Association and Belmont County Farm Bureau, he was a 4-H Advisor an Honorary 4-H Member and a Polled Hereford Breeder.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Chuck Winzenreid and a brother Harold Winzenreid.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Phillips Winzenreid; a son, Ronald Winzenreid of Bellaire and daughters; Shirley Carpenter of Norwich, OH; Debbie (Greg) Butler of Stow, OH and Lisa (Rich) DeNoble of St. Clairsville; sisters Dorothy Ferrell and Zelda Workman both of Bellaire and brother Earl Winzenreid of Bellaire; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Don Cordery officiating. Burial follows at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
