Charles H. Pelkey, age 80, formerly of Belmont, Ohio, died Sunday, December 26, 2004 at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
He was born on March 18, 1924 at Wheeling, West Virginia, son of the late Charles (Ross) Pelkey and Mary E. Behrens Pelkey Forshey.
Charles was a retired employee from Ohio Valley Coal Company No. 6 mine at Alledonia; he was a retired driver from St. Clair Taxi; Charles was a former milk truck driver from Krob Dairy; he also was a retired farmer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ollie Forshey; his first wife, Mary Chuslo Pelkey; a son, Dennis J. Pelkey; a sister, Margaret Johnson; and a brother, Robert E. Pelkey.
Surviving are his second wife, Nancy J. Pelkey; two sons, Charles W. Pelkey of Cleveland and Wallace (Jeannie) Pelkey of Belmont; two daughters, Mary (Roger) Thrash and Tammy (Rodger) Fisher all of Flushing; two stepsons, Clarence (Tina) Morgan of Bridgeport and Henry Morgan III of St. Clairsville; three sisters, Katherine (George) Brown of Jacobsburg, Helen Hitchings of Belmont and Betty Forshey Graham of Florida; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Jacobsburg Cemetery, Jacobsburg, Ohio, with Robert L. Phillips officiating. Arrangements by Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.toothmanfuneralhome.com
