Charles William "Charlie" Kocher, 58 of Mills Rd., St.Clairsville beloved husband of Donna Goormastic Kocher and dear father of Brian Kocher and his wife Anne of North Canton and Kristine Nolen and her husband Marc of Dover, Ohio died Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling after a long courageous battle with cancer.

He was born June 9, 1944 in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Vernon Kocher and Ruth Hammond Kocher.

Charles was a graduate of Bellaire High School and received Bachelors degree in Business and Masters in College Administration from Ohio University. He served as a faculty member, Assistant Dean of Business Technologies and most recently as Dean of Educational Services at Belmont Technical College, where he worked for 32 years. Recently he was designated Dean Emeritus.

An active member of East Richland Friends Church, a member of Ironworkers local 549, and the 200 Club of Wheeling.

He was the proud and loving grandfather of Andrue, Kyle and Gracie Nolen and Sarah Kocher. Also survived by a brother, Richard Kocher and his wife Wilda of WV; uncle and aunt, William and Betty Creamer of Bethel Park, PA; aunt Jean Rydosz of Powhatan Point and uncle Orin Hammond of Sugarcreek, Ohio.; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. at the East Richland Friends Church, State Route 40 West of St.Clairsville where services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2002 with Rev. Wayne Ickes & Rev. Jerry Wenger officiating. Entombment follows in Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Pleasant Grove.

Donations may be made to East Richland Friends Church or to a scholarship established in his name for Belmont Technical College.
