Charles Edward Kirkland, 66, of Tarentum, PA., passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at his home.  He was born March 14, 1956 in Bellaire, OH., a son of the late William A. Kirkland and Virginia Lee Boyd Kirkland Bell.

Charles was retired from McConway-Torley Steel Mill in Pittsburgh, PA and a Christian by faith.  He was a member of Sons of the American Legion Post 226, Brackenridge, PA, Legion Home Association and Order of Owls Nest 1091.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William E. Kirkland; a sister, Mary  Louise Schmitt; two granddaughters, Kimberly Sue Carpenter and Katie Marie Carpenter; his step-father, Charles L. Bell.

Surviving are his children, Teresa (Jim) Brown and Timothy McBride both of Beallsville, OH and Krissy (Joel) Stanga of Lower Burrell, PA; siblings, George (Cathy) Kirkland of Moundsville, WV., Virginia Sue (Tom) Kovaly of Belmont, OH., Vicky Lent of Cambridge, OH., step-sisters, Kimberly (Delbert) Sexton of Stewartsville, OH and Audrey Sabo of Jacobsburg, OH; his lifelong companion, Dayna Politylo of Tarentum; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and special friends, Stanley & Deborah Lingelbach.

Friends will be received on Friday from 11am until time of service at 1 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with Pastor Wayne Clark officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
