Charles Earl Lucas, 95, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died October 17, 2021, in Park Health Center.

He was born August 27, 1926, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late Charles E. and Josephine Belt Lucas.

Charles was a retired employee from Consolidation Coal Company and a cabinet maker. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Amphibious Tank Division. He attended the St. Clairsville Church of Christ and was a member of the former Giffin Park Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Lucas Palmer.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Margaret J. "Peggy" Joseph Lucas; two daughters, Mary Margaret (Don) Zink and Jo Ellen "Jody" (Greg) Vickers all of St. Clairsville; three sisters, Kathryn Dickman of Wheeling, Nancy Norton of South Carolina, and Jo Ann Cook of Arizona; five grandchildren, Jacob Zink and Sarah Zink, Emily Vickers, Madison Vickers, and Zachary Vickers; nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
