Charles Lee Cupryk, 83 formerly of Loomis Pines, Loomis, Ohio died Sunday, November 7, 2004 at Park Health Center in St.Clairsville.
He was born October 30, 1921 in Lamira, a son of the late John Cupryk and Marie Kuziw Cupryk.
He was a retired employee of the former Clifford Motor Company in St.Clairsville, Co-founder and Vice President of the Retarded Children School of Belmont County, (the predecessor to the School of Hope), a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Barton, an Army veteran of WWII, and member of the Belmont American Legion Post No. 312.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Mae Fitch Cupryk; a son, Charles Cupryk; two sisters, Anna Zimomra and Mary Cupryk; three brothers, John, Jr., Michael and Steve Cupryk.
Surviving are a son, Steve John Cupryk and his wife Karen of St.Clairsville; two sisters, Helen Mularcik of St. Clairsville and Mildred Bilchak of Niles, Ohio; 2 grandsons, Chase and Dillon Cupryk; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St.Clairsville where services will be held at noon Wednesday, November 10, 2004 with Fr. Michael Kabel officiating. Burial follows in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Barton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the School of Hope, 330 Fox-Shannon Pl., St.Clairsville, OH. 43950.
Belmont County Council of American Legions will conduct services at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
