Charles S. Brooks (Chang), 76, passed away September 3, 2006 at his residence in Beallsville, Ohio.
He was born January 1, 1930 in Jacobsburg, Ohio a son of the late Carl and Edith Brown Brooks.
Charles was retired from Lucent Technologies. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War; he was a member of the American Legion Post # 768; a member of the Korean War Veterans and he was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Helen Ruza Brooks; two sons, Robert Brooks and his wife Jenny of Oakwood, Ohio and Douglas Brooks and his wife Lou of Cloverdale, Ohio; a daughter, Mona Brooks of Washington; three granddaughters; four great grandchildren.
In accordance with his wishes, Charles' services were private and conducted at the family's convenience with Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg in charge of arrangements.
