Obituary

Charles Wayne "Chuck" Albus, 70, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died August 26, 2020 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born October 17, 1949 in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Charles Everett Albus and Lavella Mae Baker Albus Yoss.

Chuck was a caregiver for the Belmont County Board of MRDD retiring after 30 years, and he was owner and operator of Houston's Chicken and Ribs. He was a Powhatan High School graduate and a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a Methodist by faith and a regular at the Newellstown Diner. Never at a loss for words, Chuck was a storyteller and loved joking around and more than anything he loved his family.

Surviving are his wife, Melissa "Mindy" Montgomery Albus; three children, Dan Albus, Tim Albus and Chrissy (Rob Schmitt) Albus; two stepchildren, Thomas Taylor and Amy Taylor; three grandchildren, Daniel Albus, Matthew Houston and Zachary Houston; two step-grandchildren, Marlee Taylor and Charles Cooper; and two sisters, Barbara Newkirk and Diana Volpe.

There will be a memorial gathering and service to be held on Sunday, September 6 th at Noon at the St. Clairsville Rotary Pavilion in St. Clairsville Memorial Park, with Pastor Donna Burton officiating.  Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.  Arrangements were entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.
