Catherine A. Jones, 101 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Beacon House in St. Clairsville.

She was born at Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania on June 12, 1905 a daughter of the late Thomas D. Allison and Edith Barbara Rowen Allison.

Catherine was a home maker and a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church at St. Clairsville. She was the oldest living member of the church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd A. Jones; a son Melvin T. "Mel" Jones; sisters Mae, Dorcie and Elsie and brothers Roy, Grant, Tommy and Charles.

She is survived by a son, C. Norman Jones (June) of Richmond, Virginia; a daughter-in-law, Doris Jones of St. Clairsville; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Bradley Call and Pastor Cathy Ake officiating. Burial will follow in Belmont County Memorial Park at St. Clairsville.
