Carolyn Strauss, 89 of Kacsmar Estates, St. Clairsville formerly of Bridgeport died Sunday, January 26, 2003 at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville. She was born November 4, 1913 at Glen Dale, WV.

Carolyn was a home maker and a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church at Wolfhurst; the Catholic Women?s Club; KSKJ Slovenian Catholic Lodge and the SNPJ Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Strauss and a brother Paul Zagoric a former Shadyside resident.

Surviving are her son, Joseph J. Strauss of Reston, VA; her daughter, Carolyn (James) Kacsmar of St. Clairsville and her granddaughters, Annette M. Kacsmar and Alicia A. Kacsmar.

Friends will be received on Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St.Clairsville Funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 A.M. in St. Josephs Catholic Church, Wolfhurst. Burial follows in St. Anthony?s Cemetery, Blaine.
