Carolyn Bee Morgan, 70 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling.
She was born February 18, 1938 in Glen Dale, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Henry "Pat" Bayha Murphy and Evelyn Irene Peabody Murphy.
Carolyn was a retired registered nurse from Peterson Hospital, a 1959 graduate of the OVGH school of Nursing, an active and faithful member of Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville for many years. She served on the church building committee, was a member of the OVGH nurses alumni association, and was Past Regent of the Mound Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Louise Murphy Zwicker in 2000 and a brother-in-law, Lewis Daniel Morgan in 1968.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and was cherished by her family. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 47 years, Henry Rennard Morgan, Jr.; six children, Douglas Lewis Morgan of Columbus, Daniel Scott (Liz) Morgan of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, Bryan Bradley Morgan of Cannonsburg, Pennsylvania, Melinda Marie (Jeffrey) Brothers of Martins Ferry, Nolan Henry Morgan of St. Clairsville, and Clinton Ryan Morgan of St. Clairsville; 7 grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Ann (Charles) DeMark of Chesapeake, Virginia; sister-in-law, Nancy K. Morgan (Charles) Timberlake of Columbus; several loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
