Loper, Carolyn J., 68, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died July 18, 2011 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.

She was born November 3, 1942 in Glen Robbins, Ohio, daughter of the late Maywood and Irene Gault Shrieve.

Carolyn was a retired executive secretary from Consolidation Coal Company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Shrieve and a brother, Emerson Sandy Shrieve.

Surviving are a daughter, Carla Faldowski of Dillonvale, Ohio; a son, Patrick J. (Janet) Loper II of Springfield, Ohio; two brothers, Richard Dick Shrieve of Maynard, Ohio and Donovan Don Shrieve of Bethesda, Ohio; five grandchildren, Nikki Faldowski, Becky Lowe, Patrick J. Loper III, Steven Wetzel and Jeffrey Wetzel; three great grandchildren, Rose Wetzel, Gage Wetzel and Jordan Wetzel; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 4 p.m. until time of memorial service at 5:30 p.m. with Rev. Dean Myers officiating.
