Carolyn Kinsey, 85, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Liza's Place of Valley Hospice, Wheeling, WV.  She was born February 1, 1938 in Kershaw County, SC., a daughter of the late Margaret Agnes Baker.

Carolyn was a former employee of the former Lynn's Gift Shop and Elby's Gift Shop and a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in St. Clairsville.  She enjoyed cooking and served as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Kinsey in 2021; a sister, Clara Self.

Surviving are her children, Charles (Lisa Wieneke) Kinsey of Adena, OH., Paul (Nancy) Kinsey of Frankfort, OH., and Jeffrey Kinsey of St. Clairsville; a sister, Frances Pruitt of Chesterfield, SC; a sister-in-law, Betty Bain of Maynard, OH; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with funeral services on Tuesday at 1 pm with Rev. Nancy DeStefano officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
