Carol Joan Hatcher Earliwine, 85, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling.

She was born in Belmont, Ohio on May 17, 1941, a twin daughter of the late Allison Earnest Hatcher and Wilda Marie Schultz Hatcher.

Joan was a loving wife, mother, aunt and friend. She enjoyed reading and doting over her dog, Cooper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Earliwine Sr., her son, Russell Earliwine Jr., and her twin sister, Elizabeth June Cochran.

Joan is survived by her sister, Bettie Adcock and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Thursday, July 30th from Noon until time of service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Kris Bright officiating. The burial will follow in Concord Cemetery, Centerville, Ohio.
