Carol Joy Jeffers, age 45, of Wheeling, West Virginia, died Thursday, November 25, 2004 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.
She was born December 25, 1958 at Bellaire, Ohio, daughter of Ronald E. Jeffers, Sr. and Beverly Pyle Jeffers.
Carol was a former switchboard operator at Ohio Valley Medical Center. She graduated from St. Clairsville High School in 1977 and also graduated from Belmont Technical College with two Associate Degrees.
Surviving in addition to her parents, Beverly and Ronald Jeffers, Sr. of Warnock, Ohio is her only daughter, the apple of her eye, Janine Lorae Koonce and her husband Chris of Indiana; her grandfather, Paul Pyle, Sr. of Warnock; her longtime companion, Ignatius "E.J." Markwas; three sisters, Terri L. Davis and her husband John of Martins Ferry, Paula V. Lucey and her husband Mark of Reading, Pennsylvania and Leslie J. Marlin and her husband Keith of Middletown, Delaware; a brother, Ronald E. Jeffers, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Dayton, Ohio; 10 nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2004 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Charles Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Warnock Cemetery, Warnock, Ohio.
