HARTMAN, Carol Elizabeth Niven, 63 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.

She was born in Wheeling, WV on December 5, 1947 a daughter of the late William E. Jones and Betty A. Stevenson Jones.

Carol was a retired Cleaning Supervisor for McKeen Security of Wheeling and a former employee of Wheeling Linen Service. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Martins Ferry.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Hartman; her daughter, Tammy S. Collins of New Cumberland, WV; her son, Thomas W. Niven of Wheeling; stepchildren, Janice Hartman of Medina, Ohio and Jimmy Hartman of Wheeling; sisters, Sandra L. Mills of West Lafayette, Ohio and Betty M. Wilson of Martins Ferry; a brother, William Jeffrey Jones of Salem, NH and her grandchildren, Megan Dawn Collins, Lance Michael Collins, T. J. Niven and Kaylee Niven.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Bill Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
