Massa, Carmela A., 71 of St. Clairsville, Ohio loving mother, sister and friend, entered into eternal life Friday, November 9, 2007 surrounded by her family and friends at Trinity East Medical Center in Steubenville, Ohio.

She was born in Campolattaro, Italy on October 26, 1936 a daughter of the late Angelantonio and Assunta Pistacchia Nardone.

Carmela was a homemaker, a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church at St. Clairsville and the Women of St. Mary?s.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Vito Massa and a brother, Francesco Nardone.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Massa, Ray and wife Sherry Massa and Lucio Massa all of Columbus, Ohio and a daughter, Susan and husband Fred Wakim of St. Clairsville; a brother, Luciano Nardone of St. Clairsville and two grandchildren, Anthony Wakim and Monica Wakim.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Monday from 3 to 9 p.m. Mass of Thanksgiving and funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary?s Church with Father Edmondo Stabene the celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire.

Vigil services will be held Monday at 5 p.m. and the Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.
